MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Youth Parliamentary Forum (YPF) Coordinator for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Member National Assembly Ms. Kiran Imran Dar Thursday held a meeting with Speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar and President YPF Chair in AJK Assembly and Member of the Assembly, Hassan Ibrahim.
Participants of the meeting held discussions on promoting youth participation and strengthening representative engagement.
Ms. Kiran Imran Dar expressed gratitude for establishing the YPF Chapter in the Azad Kashmir Assembly and appreciated ongoing efforts to form the YPF Board.
She requested the concerned to expedite this process and proposed organizing a regional-level youth convention to promote dialogue and partnership among young leaders.
She emphasized the need to provide further opportunities to young members to voice their opinions in the Assembly, particularly stressing the importance of ensuring the inclusion of female members in all proceedings and committees.
She stated that young members should be prioritized in the Assembly proceedings.
On this occasion, Speaker Latif Akbar directed Hassan Ibrahim to organize a youth convention in AJK as at the earliest and to seek guidance from the youth parliamentarians of the National Assembly to effectively organize the program.
The meeting highlighted the importance of prioritizing the youth perspective in the policymaking process.

The Speaker Azad Kashmir Assembly reiterated the commitment to empower youth and promote their role in the development of policies of national importance.
This meeting proved to be a significant step towards enhancing the participation of youth and promoting gender representation in the legislative and policy framework of Azad Kashmir.
