MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq and Senior Minister/Interior Minister Waqar Ahmad Noor joined Pakistan Army troops to celebrate the festive of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The premier offered Eid prayers with the soldiers on the front lines of the LoC Samahni sector in his native Bhimber district in Azad Kashmir.
He later met with them and exchanged greetings as the atmosphere echoes with patriotic slogans, including “Pakistan Zindabad”.
The soldiers and officials saluted the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Army, while PM Anwarul Haq praised the bravery and sacrifices of the soldiers, saying, “We salute the services of the great brave soldiers who guard the border for the sake of the homeland.”
The Prime Minister emphasized that the Azad Kashmir government stands by the soldiers and that the defense of the homeland is impregnable. He also expressed his hope that occupied Kashmir will soon become free and part of Pakistan.
Other officials present at the occasion included Brigade Commander Fouray Brigadier Muhammad Saeed Akhtar, Commissioner Mirpur Division Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain, and DIG Dr. Liaqat Hussain.
