EVIAN: US President Donald Trump has said that the US-Iran deal is all signed, and the text of the Iran deal will be released sometime after Friday.

Speaking alongside French President Macron in Evian-les-Bains, France, Trump said the Strait of Hormuz is set to reopen “completely” by Friday when the agreement is signed in Switzerland.

Moreover, he said the text of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iran will be released pretty soon.

“I want it to be released, it’s a very powerful document … probably pretty soon, I’d say some time after Friday,” he said.

“Hopefully it’s going to be a good relationship … and if we don’t, we go back to where we started.”

When asked if he would attend the Friday signing ceremony for the US-Iran memorandum of understanding, Trump said he isn’t sure whether he’ll attend the signing of the agreement on Friday.

Furthermore, Trump stated Iran will only receive sanctions relief if they “do what it’s supposed to do”.

“It’s really a behavioural thing. If they do what they’re supposed to do, that starts taking effect,” he added.

“Ships starting to move out of Hormuz”

US President Donald Trump said on Monday that ships, many loaded with oil, are starting to move out of the Strait of Hormuz, just hours after the announcement of a peace deal between the US and Iran.

“Ships are starting to move, many loaded up with Oil, out of the Strait of Hormuz. They are going along the Southern “Highway,” which is totally safe, secure, and pristine. There are other areas of travel, also,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

The statement came hours after the US and Iran said they have agreed on terms to end their war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Mediator Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif also confirmed the development, saying that “following intensive talks, a peace deal between the United States and Iran has been reached” after sustained diplomatic engagement.

He stated that both sides have agreed to the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, with the official signing ceremony scheduled to take place in Switzerland on June 19.
