MIRPUR (Kashmir English): The Mirpur Police conducted a grand flag march in all the sensitive and central areas of the city to prevent any untoward incident and ensure the rule of law.
During this flag march, normal life continued peacefully and as usual throughout the city.
According to Mirpur Police officials, at exactly 7 am on Sunday, police vehicles and contingents of jawans started the flag march on various routes, commercial centers, and important highways of the city.
The main objective of this march was to establish law and order in the city, give a clear message to criminal elements, and assure foolproof security to the citizens.
During the flag march, no untoward incidents were reported from any part of the city; rather, normal life continued peacefully in all areas. Despite it being a Sunday, all the small and large markets and business centers of the city remained open as usual, with a rush of shoppers.
In addition, citizens were seen moving towards their offices, private work, and other daily activities without any fear or hindrance. Mirpur administration and police officials have expressed satisfaction over the cooperation of the citizens and the peaceful atmosphere.
