MIRANSHAH (Kashmir English): Security forces have reportedly killed 45 terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Khawarij during an ongoing operation in the Palangzai area of Miranshah, North Waziristan, according to security sources.

Sources said the area had long been used as a key operational base for various terrorist activities. The operation was launched on June 2 and has continued over the past several days.

According to the latest update, a high-value target identified as Khalid Raza Sala, an area commander of the Gul Bahadur group, was among those killed. He had a bounty of Rs 4 million placed on him.

Security sources further claimed that 25 bodies have been recovered during the operation, while a large cache of weapons and ammunition was also seized.

Officials stated that three major militant strongholds, identified as the Samiullah Complex, Abuzar Complex, and Imdad Complex, were completely destroyed during the operation.

The operation has proved to be a major blow to Kharji Gul Bahadur’s FAK chapter in North Waziristan Agency, sources added.
