ABBASPUR, AJK (Kashmir English): SHO Police Station Abbaspur in Azad Kashmir, Sardar Maroof, suddenly passed away due to cardiac arrest while on duty on Saturday.
The incident took place when he was performing his routine duty and suddenly fell unconscious. Fellow officers immediately tried to shift him to a nearby medical centre for medical treatment, but he could not survive.
Sardar Maroof was known as a dutiful, hardworking, and honest police officer. The news of his sudden demise spread like wildfire, causing a wave of deep sorrow and grief among the police force and local population.
Fellow officers and officials paid tribute to his services, stating that the deceased always performed his duties with honesty and dedication.
According to the local administration, the funeral prayer of the deceased will be offered today (Sunday) in Battal, Tehsil Hajira, where his family, friends, police officers, and a large number of citizens are expected to participate.

The family of the deceased stated that Sardar Maroof was a well-mannered and kind-hearted person who dedicated his entire life to public service and upholding the rule of law.
His sudden demise is a great loss not only for the family but also for the entire police force, according to the locals.
