SYDENY (Kashmir English): Cricket Australia has announced new squads for the upcoming limited-overs series against Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood have been rested for the upcoming tours.

Under-19 World Cup captain Oliver Peck and all-rounder Liam Scott have been given their first call-up for the one-day series against Pakistan starting May 30, while young batsman Joel Davis has also been included in the squad for the T20 series against Bangladesh.

Fast bowlers Riley Meredith and Billy Stanlake have also returned to the team. Australian selection committee chairman George Bailey says the absence of senior players will give young cricketers a chance to showcase their talents.

Mitchell Marsh will lead the Australian team for both the Pakistan and Bangladesh tours, while experienced all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been left out of the T20 squad against Bangladesh.

In addition, Alex Carey, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Josh Ingles, Matthew Kahneman, Marnus Labuschagne, Ryley Meredith-Olipek, Matthew Renshaw, Tanvir Sangha, Liam Scott, Matthew Short, Billy Stanlake and Adam Zampa are also included in the Australian squad.

The three senior fast bowlers will rest to prepare for the upcoming World Test Championship campaign, which begins in August.
