Two suspects wanted to GB police arrested from AJK’s Chinari

JHELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): Jhelum Valley Police arrested two suspects wanted by Diamer District Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) police in kidnapping and murder.

Jhelum Valley Police had received information that suspects who killed a girl’s mother and severely injured her uncle while resisting her abduction at gunpoint in the jurisdiction of Thor Police Station, Diamer District, Gilgit-Baltistan, were hiding in the jurisdiction of Chinari Police Station.

Upon receiving the information, Atta-ur-Rehman Bhatti Rajput, SP District Jhelum Valley, ordered SHO Chinari Police Station to trace and arrest the suspects.

A team led by Inspector SHO Chinari, comprising Additional SHO Muhammad Pervez Khan, Investigating Head Constable Ansar Rashid, and Constables Abdul Waheed and Qazi Mubarak, successfully carried out an operation at Pahal Gahani Tang and arrested two proclaimed offenders, Aziz and Jalil, residents of Thor Chilas, wanted in the murder case by Thor Police.

Jhelum Valley Police stated that the arrested suspects have been handed over to the concerned police.

SP Jhelum Valley Atta-ur-Rehman appreciated SHO Chinari and his team on the arrest of the wanted proclaimed offenders and announced certificates and cash rewards.

Jhelum Valley Police have appealed to public to immediately report the presence of any suspicious or criminal individual in the area to the nearest police station so that society can be made crime-free and safe.

According to sources, the suspects had taken residence in a remote area of Azad Kashmir so that they would not be noticed.
