LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistani star batsman Babar Azam has crossed another important milestone by completing his 100th half-century in T20 cricket.
Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam achieved this remarkable feat in a match against Quetta Gladiators, where he scored 71 not out. In this match, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators by 8 wickets to win.
Earlier, Babar Azam also completed his 4000 runs in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and became the first player to cross this milestone in the history of PSL. He achieved this record by playing 104 matches.
During the same match, South African cricketer Rylee Russo became the first foreign player to play 100 matches in the PSL. He shared moments of joy with Babar Azam, while the PSL administration also shared a picture of both players on the completion of Babar Azam’s 100 fifties and Rylee Rossouw’s 100 matches.
It should be noted that Babar Azam has represented three different teams in the PSL so far, including Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, and Peshawar Zalmi. While playing for each team, he has impressed cricket fans with his excellent performance.
Babar Azam Crosses 4,000 Runs in PSL
Earlier, Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam completed 4,000 runs in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), becoming the first batsman to cross this milestone in the league.
Babar Azam also equalled the record for the most partnerships in T20 cricket.
On Saturday, in the match against Lahore Qalandars in PSL XI, Peshawar captain Babar Azam crossed the milestone of completing 4,000 runs, becoming the first batsman in the league to cross this milestone
During this time, he represented three teams: Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, and Peshawar Zalmi. Babar Azam has played 105 matches in the PSL so far, which includes 2 centuries and 37 half-centuries.
In addition, Babar Azam also equalled the record for the most century partnerships in the T20 format.
Babar Azam has established 46 century partnerships in his T20 career, equalling the record of Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle for the most partnerships.
Chris Gayle has made 46 century partnerships in 455 innings, and Virat Kohli has made 400 T20 innings, while Babar Azam has crossed the milestone of his 46th century partnership in 339 innings.
