FOSHAN, China (Kashmir English): An ultra-marathon runner in China has set an extraordinary world record after running 100 kilometres daily for 100 consecutive days.

He covered a total distance of 10,000 kilometres during 100 days, drawing international recognition. According to media reports, Huang Zhenglong, also known as Long Shao, completed the feat between 6 December 2025 and 15 March 2026 in the southern Chinese city of Foshan.

The attainment is being regarded as one of the most demanding long-distance running challenges in recent years.

Runner a strong contender for world record

Running 100 kilometres for 100 consecutive days is considered a test far beyond ordinary human endurance, placing Huang Zhenglong as a strong contender for inclusion in the Guinness World Records.

He began preparations during the Covid-19 pandemic and later wind-up his business to devote himself fully to training.

Media reports suggest that he maintained a year-long routine of daily running across China prior to the landmark attempt.

The Chinese man followed a structured training regime, gradually increasing daily distances to build physical endurance.

During the 100-day period, Huang Zhenglong was supported by a professional team, including medical experts and nutritionists, who closely monitored his condition to ensure the effort was completed safely.
