KARACHI (Kashmir English): Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam has completed 4,000 runs in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), becoming the first batsman to cross this milestone in the league.
Babar Azam also equalled the record for the most partnerships in T20 cricket.
On Saturday, in the match against Lahore Qalandars in PSL XI, Peshawar captain Babar Azam crossed the milestone of completing 4,000 runs, becoming the first batsman in the league to cross this milestone.

During this time, he represented three teams Islamabad United, Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi. Babar Azam has played 105 matches in the PSL so far, which includes 2 centuries and 37 half-centuries.
In addition, Babar Azam also equalled the record for the most century partnerships in the T20 format.
Babar Azam has established 46 century partnerships in his T20 career, equalling the record of Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle for the most partnerships.
Chris Gayle has made 46 century partnerships in 455 and Virat Kohli has made 400 T20 innings, while Babar Azam has crossed the milestone of his 46th century partnership in 339 innings.
Babar Azam reaches 12,000 T20 runs
Peshawar Zalmi captain and national team batsman Babar Azam has become the fastest to score 12,000 runs in T20 cricket, surpassing West Indies’ aggressive batsman Chris Gayle.
According to details, Chris Gayle scored 12,000 runs in 345 innings of T20 cricket, which Babar Azam broke in 338 innings. The Pakistani star batsman achieved this milestone during a match against Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Other prominent batsmen in the world in this list include India’s Virat Kohli, who achieved this target in 360 innings, while Australia’s David Warner completed 12,000 runs in 368 innings. Babar Azam has now come to the top of the list.
It is also worth mentioning that Babar Azam is the second Pakistani player to score 12,000 runs in T20 cricket. Earlier, this honor was held by Shoaib Malik, who has scored a total of 13,571 runs in this format in his career.
Babar Azam’s consistent performance, technical skills, and ability to score runs in different conditions have made him one of the best T20 batsmen in the world.
His achievement is being considered a great honor not only for Peshawar Zalmi but also for Pakistan cricket, which will further strengthen the standard of Pakistani batting at the international level.
