KARACHI (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Super League (PSL) saw a double header match at National Bank Stadium where there was an outstanding contrast in two games, one witnessing the lowest scoring and the other the highest scoring by any team ever at National Bank Stadium.

The afternoon match had Lahore Qalandars score the lowest score, having got out for 100 runs in their innings. The team’s batsmen did not fare well against the bowling, scoring a record low score at the venue in PSL history.

However, this would be reversed later in the evening when Peshawar Zalmi scored the highest score ever recorded at the ground in PSL games, 246/3. This was made possible due to their amazing partnership and run-scoring capacity.

Historic Partnership Between Babar Azam and Kusal Mendis

The most spectacular part of this match was the partnership of Babar Azam and Kusal Mendis, who scored an incredible 191 runs in the partnership to lay the foundation of this highest ever score. Both players played very well to beat the bowling of the opponents.

Mendis scored 109 runs in 52 balls while Babar was not out on 87 runs in 51 balls.

Largest Margin of Victory in PSL History

In a historic performance in the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), Peshawar Zalmi recorded the largest margin of victory in terms of runs in the tournament’s history. The team delivered a commanding performance with both bat and ball, dominating Karachi Kings in a one-sided contest.

Babar Azam sets world record with fastest 12,000 T20 runs

Pakistani batsman Babar Azam has yet again broken another world record in T20 cricket by being the fastest batsman to score 12,000 runs in T20 cricket.

The Pakistani batsman made this record-breaking achievement during a game between himself and Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Babar scored 12,000 runs in 338 innings in T20 cricket.

Babar Azam has surpassed the world record of the previous holder, former West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle, who scored 12,000 runs in 343 innings.

Virat Kohli managed to achieve this landmark in 360 innings, while David Warner took 368 innings to score 12,000 runs.

It must be mentioned that Babar Azam is the second Pakistani cricketer after Shoaib Malik to cross the 12,000-run mark in T20 cricket.
