ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s ‘unwavering and unflinching’ solidarity and support for Saudi Arabia in the wake of the ongoing Iranian attacks.
He conveyed these remarks during a telephone conversation with the Saudi Crown Prince and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, this afternoon, the Media Wing of the Prime Minister’s Office said.
The PMO said during their warm and cordial conversation, the two leaders discussed the ongoing hostilities in the region.
“The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering and unflinching solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the wake of the ongoing attacks, and reiterated Pakistan’s condemnation of the attack at the Al Jubeil oil facility in Saudi Arabia earlier today,” it stated.
The premier assured Crown Prince MBS that the “people and the Government of Pakistan would always stand shoulder to shoulder with their Saudi brothers and sisters”, just as the Saudi leadership and people had always supported Pakistan, through thick and thin.

‘Lauded wisdom and sagacity of Saudi leadership’
Moreover, the Prime Minister lauded the wisdom and sagacity of the Saudi leadership in exercising maximum restraint during the ongoing crisis.
He further reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advancing peace efforts for de-escalation in the region.
“[PM] stated that Pakistan was working assiduously for the success of the peace efforts, in partnership with other countries,” the statement reads.
He also apprised the Crown Prince of the latest developments in Pakistan’s mediation efforts to de-escalate the Middle East crisis.
The Prime Minister conveyed his warm wishes and respectful regards for The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Crown Prince appreciated Pakistan’s peace efforts, aimed at restoring peace and stability in the region, the statement concluded.
