PSL: Lahore Qalandars defeat Multan Sultans in rain-hit clash

LAHORE (Kashmir English): In Pakistan Super League 11 (PSL 11), Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans by 20 runs in a rain-affected match on Friday.

The toss for the match played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore was delayed due to rain. However, after a long delay, Multan Sultans won the toss against Lahore Qalandars and decided to field first.

PSL match was limited to 13 overs each

Due to rain, the match was limited to 13 overs per innings. Lahore Qalandars scored 185 runs for 5 wickets in their allotted 13 overs.

Mohammad Naeem scored 60 and Parvez Hussain scored 45 runs, being the prominent scorers. In addition, Abdullah Shafique scored 33 and Sikandar Raza scored 13 runs. Mohammad Ismail took 2 wickets for Multan Sultans.

In response to the target of 186 runs, Multan Sultans could only score 165 runs for 5 wickets in the allotted 13 overs.

For Multan Sultans, captain Ashton Turner scored 52 and Shan Masood scored 44 runs, being the prominent scorers, while Arafat Minhas scored 25 runs.

Among Lahore Qalandars bowlers, Mustafizur Rahman dismissed 2 players, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Obaid Shah, and Sikandar Raza took one wicket each.
