PESHAWAR (Kashmir English):  Security forces in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa killed a total of 13 terrorists in timely and effective operations against terrorists. These operations were carried out based on intelligence inputs aimed at foiling major terrorist plans.

According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation was carried out in Bannu district, where security forces killed three terrorists during a successful operation.

The second major operation was carried out in the Bara area of ​​Khyber district, where 10 more terrorists were killed while acting on information about the presence of terrorists.

According to the spokesperson, the slain terrorists were planning sabotage operations in different areas, and their hideouts have also been destroyed. Weapons and other equipment used by the terrorists were also recovered during the operations.

Security sources said that search operations are underway in view of the fear of the presence of more terrorists in the area, and the forces are determined to eliminate the elements hostile to the country.

On the other hand, the local population has appreciated the timely and successful operations of the security forces and paid tribute to their role. Citizens say that these measures will further improve the law and order situation in the area and reduce the threat of terrorism.

The security agencies are determined to take action against terrorists to establish peace in the country.

67 militants killed as attacks repulsed in Balochistan, KP

Earlier, Security forces had successfully repelled multiple coordinated attacks, which officials designated as Operation Ghazab lil Haq, that targeted different sites throughout Balochistan and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) region.

The Afghan Taliban militants from Balochistan executed physical attacks on 16 sites throughout the northern districts, which included Qilla Saifullah, Noshki, and Chaman.

The attackers executed fire raids which targeted 25 separate locations. The officials stated that their defense operations successfully prevented all attacking forces from entering their territory.

The battles resulted in the death of 27 militants, who also suffered various injuries. The one soldier from Frontier Corps Balochistan North who died in battle protected his post while five other soldiers sustained their battle injuries.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa militants executed a physical attack at one site while they conducted fire raids across 12 additional sites. The security forces successfully stopped all attacks, which resulted in no fatalities.

During the overnight operations in the province, officials reported the death of 40 Afghan Taliban militants. The two provinces continue their follow-up clearance and search missions, which will provide a complete operational report in the afternoon.
