LAHORE (Kashmir English): Lahore Qalandars all-rounder Sikandar Raza, while explaining the violation of security instructions, has said that Shaheen Afridi did not do anything arbitrary, but went along at his request.
Speaking to the media, Sikandar Raza said that he himself had told Shaheen Afridi that his family had come, upon which he went to meet them.
He admitted that if the security protocol was violated during this time, then the full responsibility lies with him.

He further said that no such incident has occurred in the last 4 years, and if there has been any change in the security arrangements, he was not aware of it.
Sikandar Raza clarified that he himself is responsible for this matter, and no one else should be blamed.
Afridi, Sikandar Raza ‘disregard’ PCB security protocols
Earlier, it was reported that two Lahore Qalandars players violated the PCB and PSL security protocols during their stay at the Lahore’s Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) tournament.
Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi and Sikandar Raza did not heed the security staff, and both allowed four of their friends to stay in their room for approximately two and a half hours.
DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Faisal wrote a letter to PSL officials regarding the violation of security protocols.
“As per contents of the reports of SP Operation, Civil Lines Division, Lahore a serious breach of established security protocols occurred on March 28, 2026 at the PC Hotel where all PSL participant teams are currently residing under strict security arrangement,” read a letter written by the DIG to the PCB and PSL Chief Executive Officers.
