MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The government has announced school holidays across Azad Kashmir until March 31 as part of precautionary and administrative measures.

The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) has announced that all academic activities and classes will shift to an online mode starting March 16, 2026.

According to the university administration, the schedule and procedure for online classes will be finalized by the respective department heads in consultation with their deans. Students have been advised to remain in contact with their departments for updates regarding class schedules and the online platforms that will be used for teaching.

New Office Hours

In addition, the AJK cabinet has approved a new working schedule for government offices. Under the decision, government offices will remain open for four days a week while observing three days of holidays.

The cabinet has further decided to implement an energy conservation policy in Azad Kashmir, aiming to reduce electricity consumption and manage energy resources more efficiently. Officials say the measures are part of broader efforts to address the ongoing energy challenges in the region.
