‘Sidelined’: QA Trophy winner Shahzaib Bhatti says goodbye to Pakistan cricket

SIALKOT (Kashmir English): Quaid-e-Azam Trophy winner Shahzaib Bhatti has announced to leave Pakistan cricket forever citing continuous neglect.

Bhatti announced the decision in a post on X late Monday night. “Ambidextrous cricketer👐. Left arm spin and right arm spin. Represented Pakistan u16, Sialkot region, Larkana challengers and Central Punjab,” remains his introduction on the X account.

“I am leaving Pakistan cricket forever,” he captioned the emotional post. “Goodbye Pakistan cricket. At 24 years of age, I am leaving Pakistan cricket. I won the Quaid e Azam final last year live on television. Sinc then I’ve been benched for almost 40 games in a row,” he wrote.

He further said, “My only dream is to represent Pakistan. But politics, corruption, lack of structure ruined my career, and many others. I now know why everyone is leaving Pakistan cricket. Goodbye 💔.”
