ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): At least 40 terrorists were killed in Pakistani strikes on seven militant camps inside Afghanistan on Saturday night.

Earlier reports suggested that 28 terrorists were killed. Latest reports, however, confirmed the death of at least 12 more terrorists taking the total deaths to 40.

Pakistan hit targets inside Afghanistan in strikes believed to be in response to recent terrorist attacks from across the border, according to Afghan media.

Initially, a camp belonging to the militant faction Majlis-e-Askari Karwan was destroyed in Afghanistan’s Paktika province by Pakistani security forces, according to Afghan media.

Terrorism from Afghanistan soil

The escalation follows a series of deadly cross-border attacks, including a suicide bombing in Bannu on February 21, 2026, which martyred a Lieutenant Colonel and another soldier.

After Paktika, the terrorist training center in Koz Bhar area of Khogyani district, Nangarhar, also echoed with explosions.

According to sources, several terrorists, including a very important commander, were killed in the explosion.
