QUETTA (Kashmir English): Security forces have conducted two separate intelligence-based operations in Quetta, neutralizing a total of 14 terrorists, according to a spokesperson for the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
The CTD spokesperson said six terrorists were killed during an operation in the Barkhan area, while eight armed militants were neutralized in an exchange of fire in the Darakhshan area.
During the operations, three CTD personnel were injured in a firing by the armed suspects. The injured officials were shifted for medical treatment.
Authorities confirmed that the bodies of the killed terrorists were moved to nearby hospitals. A large quantity of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the militants.
According to the CTD spokesperson, both operations were conducted on intelligence inputs, adding that the killed terrorists were planning to carry out acts of terrorism.
