ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Murad Saeed has resigned from his Senate seat.
He has sent his resignation to the Chairman Senate via a letter and at the same time instructed the party to immediately submit unified resignations from the Senate, National Assembly, Punjab and Sindh assemblies.
In his resignation, Murad Saeed severely criticized the current parliament, stating that this parliament is complicit in insulting the public mandate and its foundation is fake and illegitimate.
According to him, PTI should adopt a strong and unified stance through all parliamentary representatives so that public rights can be truly protected. PTI has also confirmed Murad Saeed’s resignation.

Murad Saeed was elected senator in 2025 but had not yet taken the oath.
Murad Saeed’s move is considered important in the context of the party’s strategy and the current political environment. According to him, it is essential that all PTI representatives unite in accordance with public trust and take steps to protect the public mandate at the parliamentary level.
