MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Earthquake tremors were felt in Azad Kashmir’s Haveli and Rawalakot districts, on early Monday Morning.
According to the German Research Center, the magnitude of the earthquake that struck at 5:05 am on Monday was 4.6, while its epicenter was in Hanjwara Bala and its depth was 10 km.
Earthquake tremors were felt more intensely due to their proximity to the surface. Damage was also reported in the occupied valley, but this could not be confirmed at the moment.
The epicenter of the earthquake is 4 km away from Tazar Sharif, and tremors were also felt in Pulwama, Budgam, Pampore, and Srinagar.
Mild tremors were also felt in Anantnag, 41 km away from the epicenter, while tremors were also felt in Haveli and Rawalakot districts of Azad Kashmir.
According to the Seismological Center, aftershocks may occur within a few hours.
