NOSHKI (Kashmir English): In a major operation in Noshki, security forces successfully gunned down twenty-five militants so far. Security forces carried out a large-scale operation against militant hideouts in Noshki and its surrounding areas, killing at least 25 militants, according to security sources.
The operation was launched after intelligence reports indicated the presence of armed militants in the region. Forces moved swiftly to cordon off multiple locations, leading to an intense exchange of fire.
Residents in parts of Noshki reported hearing loud explosions and gunfire as the operation unfolded. Authorities said the sounds were a result of security forces targeting militant positions during the clearance process.
A cordon and search operation remains underway across different areas, with additional troops deployed to ensure the militants do not escape. Security officials stated that a comprehensive mopping-up operation is in progress and will continue until the area is fully cleared.
Law enforcement agencies have heightened security in and around Noshki as a precautionary measure, while investigations are ongoing to determine the identity and network of the militants involved.
