TEHRAN (Kashmir English): A loud blast has been reported today in residential areas in Bandar Abbas, a major port city on Iran’s southern coast, according to Iranian media.
According to Iranian media, the blast occurred at an eight-storey building, “destroying two floors, several vehicles, and shops” in the area of Moallem Boulevard in the city.
Rescue teams are dispatched to the affected area, as per the State media. Iranian media has denied that the Revolutionary Guard commander was targeted in the explosion.
According to Iranian officials, one person was killed and 14 others were injured in an explosion in a residential building in Bandar Abbas.In addition, a gas explosion occurred in a 4-story residential building in the Iranian city of Ahvaz, killing 4 members of the same family.
Iranian officials say that a 3-year-old child and a woman buried under the rubble of the building have been rescued. Iranian media has denied that the commander of the Revolutionary Guards was targeted in the explosion.
On the other hand, an Israeli official says that Israel is not involved in the explosions in buildings in Iranian cities.
