LAHORE (Kashmir English): Famous TikToker and social media influencer Alina Amir has broken her silence on a controversial viral video that has been circulating recently, being attributed to her, calling it a complete fake and a deepfake.
In a video statement shared on Instagram, Alina Amir, who went viral with the Sarsarahat clip, called the circulating video completely fake and alleged it was created using AI to dent her reputation.
Alina revealed that she initially chose not to respond despite growing online chatter. “I did not intend to address this matter publicly. For an entire week, I observed the situation quietly and chose not to react,” she added.
Cash reward
Alina Amir announced that anyone who provides reliable information leading to the person behind this AI-generated video will be given a cash reward.
According to her, the aim of this initiative is not only to reach the culprits but also to discourage such incidents in the future.
Additionally, it should be kept in mind to behave responsibly on social media. Spreading such material can further harm the people involved and may interfere with official inquiries.
In a message on Instagram, Alina Amir said that initially she had decided to ignore the matter because she herself was not mentally affected by it, but when she saw that the alleged video was being shared repeatedly in hundreds of posts, she felt that it was necessary to speak out.
She stressed to social media users that it is extremely important to verify any content before spreading it. Alina Amir said that some people can go to any extent to defame others, so at least be careful whether the video or news being shared is original or not.
On this occasion, she also appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to take strict legal action against those who make deepfake or fabricated videos so that girls can be protected from such campaigns.
