Newborn abducted from CMH Muzaffarabad recovered, culprit arrested

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): City Police Muzaffarabad, in a timely and successful operation, safely recovered a newborn baby abducted from the hospital and arrested the culprit.

According to the police, the newborn baby abducted on January 21 was recovered on January 23 from the Lamyian Pattian Shaheed Gali area of Muzaffarabad. The baby was handed over to his mother on Friday night.

Police stated that the baby is in good health. The culprit involved in the incident, Nadia, has been arrested, while an unknown person is still being sought.

During the initial investigation, the culprit revealed that she has three daughters and, due to not having a son, she took the step of abducting the newborn.

Further investigation into the incident is ongoing by the police, and all aspects are being investigated. The baby has been handed over to his biological mother, and the Commandant CMH and SSP Muzaffarabad were present on this occasion.

It is worth noting that Nakeer Mushtaq’s newborn baby was abducted from CMH Muzaffarabad, and CCTV footage of the incident had also surfaced. He belonged to Sangarh, a suburban area of Dhirkot.
