INDORE (Kashmir English): New Zealand beat India in the 3rd One-Day International (ODI) match here on Sunday to claim their first ODI series win on Indian soil.

Batting first, New Zealand set a 338-run target (50 overs) for 8 wickets with Mitchell scoring 137, and Phillips 106. Arshdeep took 3 for63, while Harshit also claimed 3 for 84 runs.

India were all out for 296 in 46 overs despite Kohli’s 124, and Reddy’s 53. Clarke and Foulkes took three wickets each. New Zealand won by 41 runs.

New Zealand clinched their first ODI series win in India with a 41-run victory in the deciding third match.

New Zealand won the three-match ODI series 2–1 after a decisive victory in the final match in Indore.

1st ODI (Jan 11): India won by 4 wickets at Vadodara.

2nd ODI (Jan 14): New Zealand won by 7 wickets at Rajkot.

3rd ODI (Jan 18): New Zealand won by 41 runs at Indore.

The sides next play five T20 matches in a final tune-up for the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka between February 7 and March 8.
