KARACHI (Kashmir English): A sudden fire broke out in a shopping plaza on Karachi’s MA Jinnah Road, engulfing the entire building and trapping several people inside, according to initial reports.
According to fire brigade officials, 8 vehicles are at the scene, and operations are underway to extinguish the fire.
The areas around MA Jinnah Road have been severely affected due to the fire.
The area from Tibet Chowk to Garden Chowk, while Marston Road from Uncle Saria Chowk to Central Plaza has been closed.
The routes have been changed to facilitate traffic flow.
Vehicles from Tibet Chowk have been diverted towards Jubilee, while traffic from Uncle Saria Chowk has been diverted towards Tanker Chowrangi and Garden Chowk.
According to media reports, there are more than 1,000 shops in the shopping plaza, and rescue operations are underway to safely evacuate the people inside the plaza.
