NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): In a tragic incident, fire broke out in the Dost area of ​​Neelum district, as a result of which three residential houses were completely burnt to ashes. This sudden incident spread panic in the entire area while the affected families faced severe financial loss.

The people affected by the fire include Shah Wali, son of Qiyas Din, Siraj Din, son of Qiyas Din, and Altaf, son of Siraj Din. According to local sources, the fire suddenly broke out in a residential house and quickly spread to nearby houses, due to which three houses were engulfed in flames.

Eyewitnesses say that the fire was so intense that it was initially difficult to control. However, as soon as the incident was reported, the Emergency Rescue Unit Sharda (1122), Pakistan Army, local police, civil society, local people, and volunteers immediately reached the spot. All the institutions and local people jointly started efforts to extinguish the fire.

Due to timely and organized action, the fire was prevented from spreading further, as a result of which the entire neighborhood was saved from major damage. If this action had not been taken in time, more residential houses could have also been engulfed in flames. After continuous efforts of rescue and relief teams, the fire was brought under control; however, the affected houses were completely burnt.

Fortunately, no loss of life was reported in this fire incident; however, the affected families had to bear heavy financial losses. The victims have demanded immediate relief and rehabilitation measures from the authorities so that they can return to normal life.

The administration has started an investigation to find out the causes of the incident, while relief and rehabilitation measures are also being considered for the affected families. Efforts are also underway by the public and civil society at the local level to help the victims.
