ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has laid down strong guidelines for government servants on political association and social media usage.
As per the notice that has been released, none of the employees of the government will be permitted to participate in or address any political rally, procession, or assembly, nor will anyone be permitted to make use of his or her official position or status to influence politically.
Finally, the Ministry of Education went further to clarify that all government employees are strictly forbidden to take part in political promotion, support, or opposition on their personal online social networks.
The notification stated that any default by the employees in complying with these guidelines would attract severe departmental actions as per the rules and regulations.
