QUETTA (Kashmir English): The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled a drug trafficking attempt under guise of oil trading by using Zamyad pickup near Turbat, according to the official sources.
In the operation, PS ANF Turbat successfully foiled a major drug trafficking attempt from Panjgur to Turbat at Khalilabad near Satellite Town District Kech in Balochistan.
During operation, one Zamyad truck (Unregistered) was intercepted, leading to the apprehension of one individual.
Drugs worth 54 million US dollars
A detailed search resulted in the recovery of 222kg drugs worth 54 million US dollars.
The cache included 99kgs of ICE (Methamphetamine), 50kgs of opium, 73kgs of hashish. Domestic value of the Ice (Methamphetamine) is estimated at Rs 25,740,000 while the substance’s value in international market is estimated at USD 26,123,625.
Similarly opium is estimated at Rs 7000,000 (Intl value USD 24,750,000), and hashish Rs 5,475,000 (Intl value USD 4,024,125).
