KARACHI (Kashmir English): Surgeons in Kuwait successfully performed robotic surgery on a female patient at Lyari General Hospital in a landmark development in medical field.

Pakistan achieved a historic milestone in the health sector by successfully performing the first international robotic telesurgery at Lyari General Hospital.

This advanced medical achievement is a major breakthrough not only for Pakistan but for the entire region, opening new avenues for modern and world-class medical facilities in the country.

The first international telesurgery was performed live by expert surgeons sitting 1600 kilometers away in Kuwait.

The surgical robot was controlled through modern equipment and a high-speed digital network, ensuring the surgery was performed with extreme precision and success.

With this success, Lyari General Hospital became the first government hospital in Pakistan to successfully perform robotic telesurgery.

Pechu officially inaugurated the surgery

Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechu officially inaugurated this surgery and said that this success is a revolutionary step in Pakistan’s public health system, which will help provide modern medical facilities to the public at their doorstep.

She said that robotic telesurgery will enable patients in remote areas to benefit from the services of expert surgeons.

According to experts, this international telesurgery is a shining example of the use of modern technology in Pakistan’s health sector, which will play an important role in making complex surgeries safer, faster, and more effective in the future.
