ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): According to the unofficial results of all 334 polling stations in the National Assembly constituency NA-129 Lahore, Hafiz Mian Muhammad Noman of the Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won the election.
According to the unofficial results, Hafiz Mian Muhammad Noman won by securing 63,441 votes. PTI-backed independent candidate Arsalan Ahmed came in second with 29,099 votes.
By-elections were held in 5 National Assembly and 7 Provincial Assembly constituencies in Punjab, the results of which are still coming in.
Polling began at 8 am in Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha, Mianwali, and Muzaffargarh and continued till 5 pm.
After the counting of votes, the results are still coming in.
According to the unofficial results of 308 out of 602 polling stations in NA-18 Haripur, PML-N’s Babar Nawaz Khan is in first place with 86,791 votes.
PTI-backed independent candidate Shahrnaz Omar Ayub is in second place with 60,954 votes.
There are 9 candidates in the by-election in NA-18.
PTI-backed independent candidate Shahrnaz, PML-N’s Babar Nawaz Khan, and PPP’s Irum Fatima are contesting. 6 independent candidates are also in the by-election fray in NA-18.
The number of registered voters in NA-18 is 753,944. A total of 602 polling stations have been set up in NA-18.
