HONG KONG (Kashmir English): India defeated Pakistan by just 2 runs, as the DLS method decided the winner following rain intervention in the Hong Kong Super Sixes 2025, Pool C clash.
The evenly matched fixture saw rain interruptions play a vital role in determining the outcome. Batting first, India managed 86 runs in the loss of four wickets in the allotted six overs.
Opener Robin Uthappa starred with a quickfire 28 off just 11 deliveries to give India an excellent start for the innings. Other Indian batters chipped in with short cameos as the side reached a decent total.
However, in Pakistan, chase the rain intervened, and the DLS method had to be applied to calculate the target. At the end, when the game could not be resumed, the revised calculations gave India a slender two-run lead to win the game.
