RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Cricket fans could enjoy free of cost Pakistan-South Africa Test match starting today at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium here with the hosts leading the series 1:0.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced free entry for spectators at the second Test match between Pakistan and South Africa at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Entry will be free to all stands.
Both teams held separate practice sessions on Sunday at the Islamabad Club Cricket Ground.
Pakistan leading Test series
It is pertinent to mention here that the Shan Masood-led side clinched a significant 93-run victory over the Proteas in the first Test.
Spinner Noman Ali once again proved his mettle and ensured that the hosts draw first blood against the touring side.
Foolproof security is in place as all arrangements have been finalised for the second Test match.
More than 5,500 police officers and personnel have been deployed for security duties around the stadium.
According to the CPO, over 367 traffic officers are on duty to manage traffic flow and facilitate the public.
Senior officers are present in the field to inspect and brief the deployed force, while snipers have been deployed on rooftops to maintain vigilance.
Monitoring is also being done through CCTV cameras from a specially established control room. In addition, police mobiles, the Elite Force, and Dolphin Squad are conducting regular patrols around the stadium to ensure safety.
