MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The number of dengue fever cases in Azad Kashmir has reached 1044, with Muzaffarabad being the worst-affected district, reporting 685 cases.
According to the Directorate of Health Services Azad Kashmir, districts with significant cases include Mirpur (193), Bagh (81), Poonch (30), Kotli (15), Jhelum Valley (16), Neelum (19), Haveli (7), Sidhnoti (3), and Bhimber (9).
The latest report stated that 252 patients have been admitted to hospitals due to dengue fever, with 209 recovered and discharged, and 43 still under treatment.
Patients are being treated at various hospitals, including Sheikh Khaliq Bin Ziyad Hospital/CMH Muzaffarabad, AIMS Muzaffarabad, and Divisional Headquarters Hospital Mirpur.
The Health Department has urged citizens to adopt precautionary measures, eliminate water reservoirs, and maintain cleanliness to prevent the spread of the dengue virus.
