Dozens of settlements have been submerged due to a breach in the local dam in Jalalpur Pirwala, forcing residents to take refuge on rooftops.

The Zamindara dam in Bait Wahi and a Jalalpur Pirwala dam have broken. Water has entered homes in the Bahadurpur area, and the administration is now busy saving the city’s dam.

An emergency has been declared in Shujaabad and Jalalpur Pirwala, and an order has also been issued to evacuate the city of Jalalpur Pirwala.

In Jhang, more than 300 villages are affected by the second wave of floods in the Chenab River, and 281,000 acres of standing crops have been destroyed.
