CALIFORNIA (Kashmir English): Apple has confirmed a hardware launch on September 9 at 9 a.m. PT, where it is expected to reveal the iPhone 17 series.

According to reports from Tech websites, the iPhone 17 series may bring one of the biggest updates in years.

The base iPhone 17 is likely to feature a large -inch large display, a smoother 120Hz refresh rate, and a new 24-megapixel front camera.

Apple is also planning to add new colour options, including purple and green.

The pro models are expected to get bigger changes. Renders suggest a new horizontal camera bar on the back, holding the flash, microphone, and sensors.

The Apple logo could be placed lower, near the MagSafe area for a cleaner look. The iPhone 17 Pro may switch from titanium to an aluminium band, while the Pro Max could get a slightly thicker body to fit a large battery.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that this event could mark the start of a three-year redesign cycle for iPhones, which may end with the release of a foldable iPhone.

There are also rumours of a new ultra-thin iPhone, which could replace the current plus models.

iPhone 17 series price

Prices are expected to start around $800 for the iPhone 17, $1,100 for the Pro, and upto $1250 for the Pro Max.

In Pakistan, the approval by PTA is among the major concerns of the customers in as it guarantees the phone can be used legally over local networks.

The PTA-approved iPhone 17 Pro Max will be at a higher price, given its superior features.

Keeping in view the trends and past releases of iPhones, the iPhone 17 Pro Max in Pakistan can cost between PKR 350,000 and PKR 400,000 based on storage size and the total demand in the country.

Apple may discontinue the 128 GB option, keeping only 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage sizes for pro models.
