BHIMBER (Kashmir English): The Bhimber administration and rescue teams successfully rescued a citizen who was fishing in the canal, risking his life during the recent rains and floods in Bhimber
According to the administration, this act of the citizen was not only dangerous for his life but also a violation of public safety norms, as entry into the area was prohibited due to the floods on the banks of the Bhimber canal.
Additionally, a case has been registered against the citizen for violating Section 144, which was imposed for unnecessary gathering in public places and violation of safety restrictions.
The administration has warned citizens several times to avoid going to dangerous areas during heavy rains and floods to save their lives.
Earlier, in view of heavy rains and potential floods, Chairman State Disaster Authority Bhimber/Deputy Commissioner Bhimber Chaudhry Haq Nawaz has imposed Section 144 prohibiting the collection of firewood and bathing in the drains.
During the visit to Nallah Bhimber (Patan) and other drains, he reviewed the water flow in the drains and instructed people to stay away from the drains as the increased water flow may cause a flood in the area.
The Deputy Commissioner warned the people of Bhimber to stay away from drains, electrical installations, and to avoid entering vehicles or motorcycles into the drains.
The administration is working tirelessly to ensure the safety of the people, and the Deputy Commissioner has urged the public to cooperate with the authorities to protect their lives and property.
