QUETTA (Kashmir English): Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), said that the cooperation between civil and military institutions is indispensable to address the challenges in Balochistan.
According to Inter Services Public relations (ISPR), “the visit aimed to review the prevailing security situation, assess development initiatives, and reinforce coordination between military and civil institutions for the stability and prosperity of Balochistan”.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan, the Chief Secretary of Balochistan, and other officials were also present on the occasion.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir was given a detailed briefing on the security situation, successful operations against Fitnatul Hindustan, ongoing development projects, and efforts for socio-economic upliftment in South Balochistan, as per the ISPR.
In a meeting with the Chief Minister of Balochistan and representatives of the civil administration, Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed the importance of good governance, infrastructure development, and comprehensive development based on public interest.
The Army Chief reiterated the resolve of the Pakistan Army to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Balochistan to ensure sustainable peace, development, and prosperity in the region.
Addressing the soldiers, Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated their high morale, practical readiness, and unwavering commitment to safeguard national sovereignty.
He praised their role in maintaining peace and stability in difficult circumstances.
Earlier, on his arrival in Turbat, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was received by the Corps Commander Balochistan.
