MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir announced new dates for the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the holding of the Judicial Conference.
An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan regarding the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Justice Raza Ali Khan, Judge Supreme Court, was also present in the meeting along with the Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Golden Jubilee celebrations will be held from September 11 to September 13, 2025, and a judicial conference will also be held on this occasion in which Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi will be the chief guest, while the esteemed judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the esteemed Chief Justice and judges of the Provincial High Courts, the Islamabad High Court and the Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit-Baltistan and the Chief Court, the esteemed Chief Justice and judges of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir High Court, the Advocate General, Vice Chairman and members of the Bar Council, the President and office bearers of the Supreme Court Bar, High Court Bar, District Bar Presidents, senior lawyers, the Federal Law Minister, the Attorney General of Pakistan, the Provincial Advocate General, the Vice Chairman of the Bar Council of Pakistan, the Presidents of the Supreme Court Bar of Pakistan and the Provincial High Court Bars, and important figures associated with the legal profession will participate in the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
The meeting was attended by Registrar Supreme Court Mazhar Iqbal, Additional Registrar Malik Ehtesham, Additional Registrar Research Zahoor Iqbal, Secretary to Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Shaukat, Senior Accounts Officer Syed Sakhawat Hussain, Assistant Registrar Nisar Shaheen, Senior Protocol Officer Khawaja Ijaz Ahmed, Staff Officer Taimur Mumtaz, Director IT Safwan Hashmi, Protocol Officer Taimur Durrani and other concerned officers.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir termed the Golden Jubilee celebrations and the Judicial Conference of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir as an important milestone and issued instructions for the best arrangements for the Judicial Conference on this occasion.
Justice Raza Ali Khan, who is the administrative judge of this conference, while addressing the meeting, reiterated the arrangements made so far and said that policy decisions will be taken to further improve the arrangements by calling an important meeting in this regard in the coming days and the best reception and proper accommodation and food will be ensured to the guests participating in the Golden Jubilee celebrations as much as possible.
On the directions of the Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, an important meeting will be held next week in this regard, in which the heads of the Supreme Court Azad Jammu and Kashmir establishment as well as the relevant government departments will be invited to attend the meeting so that a joint strategy can be considered for the arrangements for the Judicial Conference.
