MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir are set to witness heavy rain and thunderstorms in isolated areas.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has urged local authorities to take precautionary measures to mitigate any possible emergency that may arise due to the inclement weather.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a Seasonal low lies over north Baluchistan. Strong, moist currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are continuously penetrating the southern parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is likely to approach the upper parts from tomorrow night.
Mainly, hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. Widespread rain-wind/thundershower (with isolated heavyfalls at times very heavy) is likely in central/lower Sindh and South Balochistan.
