KARACHI: United Motorcycles has rolled out its new United 70cc model, which is available at Rs. 111,000 in the local market.
The company asserts that the motorcycle features “high-standard build quality, best ride performance in town, and the best price in town.” The announcement of the launch does not highlight technical or mechanical advancements.
This suggests that the new model is more of a sticker and cosmetic update, something usual with motorcycle companies in Pakistan.
United, Pakistan’s No.1 national brand, continues to promote the 70cc as one of the most economical and popular motorcycles within the nation.
Key Features of United 70cc (New Model)
This motorcycle is powered by a 4-stroke OHC single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a displacement of 78cc and a compression ratio of 8.1:1.
It comes equipped with a 4-speed transmission system and is started through an Arm Assy Kick system. For braking, it features mechanical drum brakes on both the front and rear wheels. The bike has an 8.5-liter fuel tank capacity and requires 0.7 liters of engine oil.
It is fitted with 2.25-17/4PR tyres at the front and 2.50-17/4PR tyres at the rear, supported by a 12-volt battery for electrical functions.
There is nothing new as far as specifications are concerned, even with the label of a “new model,” with the only thing seeming to be new being newer graphics and stickers.
