ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) has predicted the expected date for the moon sighting of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1447 AH.
A Suparco spokesperson said that the moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal is expected to be seen on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:06 am. The age of the new moon will be approximately 32 hours and 13 minutes at sunset on August 24, the commission said.
Furthermore, the Suparco spokesperson said that in coastal areas, the time between sunset and moonset will be approximately 45 minutes.
The statement added, “If the weather is clear, there is a good chance of seeing the moon on the evening of August 24.”
According to Suparco, the first date of Rabi-ul-Awwal is likely to be August 25, 2025.
