UK opens ‘fully funded’ Chevening scholarships for Pakistani students

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani students can now apply for scholarships in the United Kingdom under the Chevening Scholarships 2025.

The UK government has opened the applications for prestigious UK Chevening scholarships for fully funded master’s degrees from today, August 5, to October 7.

The fully funded programme offers one-year master’s degrees at leading UK universities and is open to mid-career professionals with at least two years of post-graduation work experience.

The scholarship also offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for professional and personal growth. The scholarship covers tuition fees, airfare, visa costs, and a monthly allowance for living expenses.

As per details, the candidates will live and study in the UK for a year, during which time they will develop professionally and academically, network extensively, experience UK culture, and build lasting positive relationships with the UK.

In a statement, British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott said Chevening is a launchpad for Pakistan’s exceptional future leaders.

“It offers more than just a world-class education. It provides the space to grow, the networks to connect globally, and the confidence to lead with purpose. If you have the leadership potential and the ambition to make a difference, I strongly encourage you to apply,” she wrote.

Established in 1983, Chevening has more than 60,000 alumni across 160 countries, including over 2,000 in Pakistan who have gone on to hold leadership roles in various fields.
