NEELUM (Kashmir English): Civil society organized a one-day colorful festival in collaboration with Pakistan Army in Neelum, Azad Kashmir.
The festival was inaugurated by the Commanding Officer along with SHO Mumtaz Hussain.
Former local councilor candidate Malik Bashir, Basharat Lone President Bazaar Sharda, Babar Lone, Shahid Butt, and a large number of people participated in the festival. The local public appreciated this initiative of the Pakistan Army.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commanding Officer stated that where playgrounds are active, hospitals are deserted. He said sports activities are a necessity for a healthy society.
Sports competitions at the festival
“We will play a key role in providing healthy activities to the youth in Sharda. Various sports competitions were held at the festival, and winners were awarded prizes.”
During the festival, the role of the Pakistan Army, especially the Sharda unit, during the war, was appreciated.
The public has demanded that healthy activities be organized at the tourist spots. Colorful programs were organized for citizens at the festival.
The festival also featured stalls in addition to sports competitions.
