ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially started the mandatory registration process for Hajj 2026 that will continue until July 9.
According to the ministry, no fee will be charged for mandatory Hajj registration at this stage. The registration is mandatory under both government and private schemes and also for Pakistanis residing abroad.
The ministry emphasized that only those who complete this early registration will be eligible to perform next year’s Hajj.
Hajj registration at 15 designated banks
Intending pilgrims can register through 15 designated banks across the country. After registration, applicants will have the option to choose either the government or private Hajj scheme but at a later stage.
The ministry also clarified that overseas Pakistanis are also required to complete this mandatory registration to qualify for Hajj 2026.
Registration will also be mandatory for pilgrims who missed out on the private scheme in 2025.
The expenses and other terms and conditions for Hajj 2026 will be issued separately according to the Hajj policy, the ministry said.
Hajj registration is being carried out as per the instructions of the Government of Saudi Arabia, according to the ministry and the Saudi government will be informed of the Hajj registration data. Based on registration, the Government of Saudi Arabia will determine the Hajj quota for Pakistan.
