SRINAGAR (Kashmir English): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the BJP-led Indian government is using the judiciary as a weapon to silence the legitimate political voice of Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar, appealed to the world community to take effective notice of the increasing serious human rights violations, suppression of rights, and political activities, adding that Indian authorities have reached the extreme of state terrorism against Kashmiris.

He condemned the Delhi High Court’s rejection of the bail application of senior Hurriyat Conference leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah, saying that the BJP government is using the courts against Kashmiris, punishing them in fabricated and concocted cases.

He said that suppressing dissent by force is a serious violation of fundamental human rights.
