Masood Khan urges youth to raise voice for oppressed Kashmiris

MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Former Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States and ex-President Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Masood Khan has urged youth to actively contribute to the cause of justice for the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir and Palestinians in Gaza.

He was speaking as chief guest at state-run Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST,) Mirpur AJK on “Justice vs Peace – The Way Forward for the Kashmir & Palestine Issue” at Youth & Leadership Dialogue-2025, at the varsity’s mechanical Hall.

Besides unveiling a detailed analysis of the root causes of the Kashmir conflict, he traced its evolution over the past decades and discussed current situation along with the lived experiences of the oppressed people.

Masood highlighted the root causes of Palestine issue highlighting their significance on the global stage.

The ex-AJK President also discussed the emerging challenges and potential opportunities to craft a constructive path forward.

Human rights violations in occupied Kashmir

Sardar Masood also highlighted the decades-long human rights violations, military occupation and systemic oppression endured by innocent children, women and the elderly who remain subjected to displacement, violence and the denial of basic freedoms.

Earlier, Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor MUST accompanied by Deans of the Faculties, Principal Officers, Heads of Departments, Directors, Administrative Officers and Students warmly welcomed Sardar Masood Khan upon his arrival at the City Campus of the University.
