ISTANBUL (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday congratulated Lahore Qalandars for their impressive victory in the final of the Pakistan Super League season 10 (PSL X), securing their third title in four seasons.
The Prime Minister, who is currently visiting Türkiye as part of his four-nation tour, praised both Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators for their remarkable efforts in what he described as a thrilling contest.
“Lahore Qalandars achieved the target successfully after a thrilling contest. All teams participating in PSL 10 displayed excellent performances,” he said in a statement shared from abroad.
Shehbaz Sharif also extended congratulations to Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and the entire PCB team for successfully organising the tenth edition of the league.
He expressed appreciation for all the players involved, with a special mention for the foreign players, whose presence and performance played a key role in the success of the tournament.
In a gripping final on Sunday night, Lahore Qalandars chased down a target of 202 runs set by Quetta Gladiators, winning the match with four balls to spare and six wickets in hand.
Kushal Perera led the charge with an unbeaten 62, while Sikandar Raza supported him with a steady 22 not out, sealing the title for the Qalandars in the final over.
On Sunday night, President Asif Ali Zardari was present at the Pakistan Super League Season X (PSL X) closing ceremony held at Gadhafi Stadium in Lahore.
President Zardari gave the trophy to the Lahore Qalandars, the champions, and congratulated them. Additionally, he gave awards to the winning team members. He claimed that Sunday night’s game was the best played by the Lahore Qalandars.

The president commended the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for protecting Pakistan’s borders on this particular occasion. He claimed that the PSL X tournament could resume because the national borders had been successfully defended.
Additionally, he commended the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) management for staging the PSL X with success.
